The HEART series

For Immediate Release

“We shall not cease from exploration, for at the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

                                                                                                                   T.S. Eliot

The subjects in the HEART series are characters defined by their primitive emotional responses to life's many obstacles. Through shaky yet determined lines, the series reduces visual communication to its most essential parts.

In their rawness can be found a clear, honest, and sincere expression of complex emotions. Auto-biographical in nature, many of the poses and colors seem to be internal and imaginary. This juxtaposition questions the nature of reality as lying in our physical or psychological world. Technical inspiration can be traced back to Shel Silverstein illustrations, Henri Matisse cutouts, Francis Bacon oil paintings, Pablo Picasso sketches and Ryan McGuinness neon sculptures.

This work is offered as a multi-editioned collection with the intention of making original art more attainable. Each piece is a handmade and unique in execution which comes signed and editioned in a sleek white frame.
